South Coast, Waterfalls & Glaciers

Theme: Water, Ice & Ancient Fire

A day journey along Iceland's legendary South Coast — where thundering waterfalls, black sand plains, and ancient glaciers unfold beneath the shadow of Eyjafjallajökull, the volcano whose 2010 eruption halted global air travel. One of the most breathtaking stretches of road on Earth.

SELJALANDSFOSS & SKÓGAFOSS
Two of Iceland's most iconic cascades, each with their own distinct character. At Seljalandsfoss you can walk behind the curtain of falling water. Skógafoss thunders down in a permanent rainbow mist — one of the widest drops in the country.
LUNCH AT MIDGARD BASE CAMP
A beloved South Coast institution in Hvolsvöllur, serving hearty Icelandic cuisine with locally sourced lamb, fresh fish, and seasonal produce.
GLACIERS — SÓLHEIMAJÖKULL & EYJAFJALLAJÖKULL
Sólheimajökull — a living glacier tongue streaked with volcanic ash, visibly retreating, deeply moving
Eyjafjallajökull — the iconic volcano-glacier that stopped the world in 2010, looming quietly over ancient farmland below
Black sand plains and dramatic coastal landscapes between stops
