The Ceremony Garden

The Ceremony Garden

The Ceremony Garden will host a series of experiences throughout the festival that will transmute our personal intentions into destiny.  A giant altar where the whisper of the universe meets the waters of mother earth. A space where live ceremonial music meets choirs of angels and every dance is a collective prayer that ripples through every sector of human creation.  A space where silence and breath meets oceans of inner peace.  A space where the new you and the new world is born again. Forevermore.

The Circle of Thrü

The Circle of Thrü

At the heart of the festival, we are building a large ceremonial mandala in an amphitheater-sloped meadow amongst the majestic trees of an area called Thrü. You enter through one of four pyramid gates…each held by a spirit-keeper of Icelandic mythology: the Eagle, the Ox, the Dragon, & the Fire Giant. Inside, fifteen rings of seating curve around a 6-foot-tall water altar: a fountain at its center, lava rocks and crystals on an 18-foot-diameter star tetrahedron base, and wildflowers radiating outward in a living mandala. Fifteen hundred of us face inward together. This is the portal we are stepping into when the earth, the moon, and the sun align.

THE WELCOMING

THE WELCOMING

AUGUST 11 · 5:00 PM

The opening ceremony of the festival creates the foundation for the rest of our experience. Icelandic elders and singers guide us on a journey through mythology, story, and the ancient folk songs of Iceland. This is where the myths of glaciers, elves, dwarves, whales, fire giants, and water dragons come to life. The cacao and elixir bar will be active alongside the experience, offering warm drinks as we set our intentions for the week. After the opening, we move into a ceremonial set with AWARË, carrying us into the sunset from the central Water Altar of the Mandala. For those who have yet to experience AWARË live, expect an immersive journey of sound, rhythm, and presence that is deeply felt and shared. Here, on a remote Icelandic peninsula beneath a once-in-a-lifetime eclipse, it becomes something far beyond the ordinary.
Hosted by Unify.org Dr. Haraldur Eriendsson · Icelandic Elder Bless Sing · Local Icelandic Musicians · Ancient Folkloric Music Closing Set with AWARË

THE ECLIPSE CEREMONY

AUGUST 12 · 4:00 PM

More than 15 live musicians, a choir of 18 women, and a drum crew of 12 men guide a 45-minute journey into the wonder of the eclipse, accompanied by ritual performance rooted in Icelandic mythological traditions. Poranguí, Snow Raven, Tina Rodriguez, Ruby Chase, Júlía Óttarsdóttir, Scarlett De La Torre, Emily Fletcher, local Icelandic musicians, Indigenous elders, and more than 15 additional ceremonial singers come together in a coordinated symphony. SUNSET DANCE with PORANGUÍ

SUNSET DANCE with PORANGUÍ

AUGUST 12 · 6:00 PM

Following the deep stillness of the eclipse, as light begins to return to the land, we enter the final ceremony of the gathering. What was held in silence begins to move again with an invitation to integrate, express, and to return to the body. Poranguí guides the transition from stillness into motion, blending rhythm, breath, and voice into a living, ceremonial soundscape.  The circle softens and the field begins to shift. What was held is released through dance and connection, carrying the moment forward as we celebrate all that has just been shared.
